Disability services

Disability services marketing for providers with more than one program

Rock Solid Marketing plans and runs marketing for disability service providers across Australia, from our office in Mildura. Many providers run several programs under one name: supported living, day programs, respite, therapy and community access, each with its own funding and its own audience.

Your marketing has to explain all of that to clients, families, carers and referrers in words everyone can follow. At the same time, you need support workers, and in a regional town every provider is chasing the same few applicants.

Partnership plans start from $4,500 + GST a month. The first step is a free 30-minute discovery call.

Common problems

What gets in the way, and how we fix it

  1. Families don't understand the difference between our programs.

    What we do

We write one clear description for each program, with who it's for and how to access it. Then we use it on the website, in brochures and in staff scripts.

  2. We can't find enough support workers.

    What we do

We run recruitment campaigns that show the real job, the team and the people you support, with a careers page that makes applying simple.

  3. Our materials aren't accessible to the people we support.

    What we do

We produce plain-English and Easy Read versions, caption every video and build websites to WCAG 2.2 AA.

Our work

Marketing disability services with care and accuracy

We worked as part of the team at Sunraysia Residential Services, a Mildura aged care, disability and child care provider of almost 50 years. Our work covered its brand, website, SEO, email and social media. The job was to make several services read as one trusted organisation.

The same care applies to every claim. We only describe registrations you hold and make no promises about funding or plan outcomes. We follow the NDIS Code of Conduct in how people are portrayed, and share stories with consent.

  • A clear description for every program
  • Plain English and Easy Read versions
  • Registration wording only as you hold it
  • No promises about funding or plans
  • Stories shared with informed consent

Clear, accessible and accurate, every time.

Our partnership plans start from $4,500 + GST a month for 28 hours of strategy, content, social media, recruitment and reporting. Standard is $5,500 + GST a month and Advanced is $7,500 + GST a month. Ad spend and job board fees are extra. If an accessible brochure set is all you need, we'll tell you before we quote.

NDIS marketing focuses on participants, families and support coordinators choosing NDIS-funded supports. Disability services marketing covers the wider organisation: several programs and funding streams, community reputation, accessible communication and workforce recruitment. Many providers need both, and our NDIS marketing page covers the participant side. This page covers the rest of the organisation.

Write in plain English, provide Easy Read versions of key information, caption every video and describe every image. Build the website to WCAG 2.2 AA so it works with screen readers and keyboards. Then test materials with the people who use them, because they'll spot problems a checklist misses.

As people, with their consent and on their terms. Show everyday life, choice and independence rather than need or pity. Ask how each person wants to be described, and let them review the story before it's published. The NDIS Code of Conduct and your own policies apply to marketing as much as to service.

Show the real job: the people, the team, the shifts and the pay range if you can share it. Recruitment ads on Facebook and job boards work best when they link to a careers page that answers common questions. In regional areas, local stories from current workers often beat any job ad.

Only if you are. Registration status is a fact that families and coordinators check, and getting it wrong damages trust. We use the exact wording of your registration, list the registration groups you hold if you want them shown, and leave it out entirely if you're unregistered.

Recruitment campaigns often bring applications within weeks. Enquiries from new clients build more slowly, usually over several months, as search rankings, referrer relationships and word of mouth grow. Your monthly report shows both, so you can see which programs are filling and where to put next month's hours.

Look for a disability marketing agency that builds accessibility in from the start and understands consent and registration wording. It should recruit staff as well as attract clients. Ask to see its work with similar providers. Our partnership plans have no lock-in contracts, so you can judge the fit over a few months.
