Financial advisers

Marketing for financial advisers built on trust you can show

Rock Solid Marketing plans and runs marketing for financial advisers and planning practices across Australia, from our office in Mildura. People don't shop for advice the way they shop for a product. They look for someone they trust with their retirement, their family or their business. Most ask a friend, an accountant or Google before they book a first meeting.

So the marketing puts your advisers at the front: names that match the Financial Advisers Register, a niche you're known for, plain-English education and steady referral relationships. Every piece carries the general advice warning and licence details your licensee requires.

Plans start from $4,500 + GST a month. The first step is a free 30-minute discovery call, with no obligation.

Common problems

What gets in the way, and how we fix it

  1. Our website could belong to any practice in the country.

    What we do

We lead with your advisers, the clients you serve best (pre-retirees, farming families, business owners) and how your service works, in plain English.

  2. Seminars fill with people who never book a meeting.

    What we do

Each event is built around one audience and one topic, with an easy booking step at the end and a follow-up email series afterwards.

  3. Referrals from accountants arrive at random.

    What we do

A regular update for the accountants and solicitors you work with, plus a simple referral process both sides understand, keeps introductions steady.

  4. Compliance sends back every post.

    What we do

We agree the wording rules with your licensee up front, include general advice warnings by default and send content in batches for approval.

Services for advisers

Digital marketing for financial advisers, planned around trust

Online marketing for financial advisers that educates first, introduces the adviser second and asks for a meeting only when the reader is ready.

Adviser profiles that match the register

Profiles, photos and short videos for each adviser, with names and authorisations that match the Financial Advisers Register and your licensee's records.

Education, not hype

Content marketing for financial advisers that explains super, retirement, insurance and estate planning basics as general information, with the warnings in place.

Seminars and webinars

Events for one audience at a time, from promotion and registrations to the slides, the booking step and the follow-up emails after the event.

Referral relationships

A short update and referral process for accountants, solicitors and mortgage brokers, so the professionals your clients already trust know when to introduce you.

Search for your niche and town

SEO and a Google Business Profile for the advice people search for in your area, from retirement planning to advice for farmers. SEO plans start from $1,000 + GST a month.

Fees explained plainly

A website that explains how you charge, what the first meeting covers and where to find your Financial Services Guide. Website packages start from $5,000 + GST.

First meetings, by source

A monthly report shows enquiries and first meetings booked by source (referrer, event, search or social), so you can see what fills the diary.

Who it’s for

Is it the right fit?

Who it’s for

  • Independent financial advice practices
  • Planners serving pre-retirees, farmers or medical professionals
  • Practices adding a new adviser
  • Advisers moving licensee or rebranding

Not a fit

  • Advisers wanting ads that promise returns or outcomes
  • Anyone not on the Financial Advisers Register who wants the adviser title
  • A practice that only needs a website refresh: a website package may suit better

How it starts

Marketing for financial planners starts with your ideal client

We start with the clients you serve best: who they are, what stage of life they're at, how they found you and what they value about your advice. We also look at your licensee's marketing rules and approval process.

From that we choose a niche to lead with, the topics that audience cares about and the channels that reach them, from seminars to search.

You leave with a plan your licensee can review, whoever delivers it.

  • Your best clients and their life stage
  • How current clients found you
  • Licensee rules and approvals
  • Topics your niche cares about
  • Events and channels to start with

How it works

How a partnership runs

Every partnership starts with a strategy, then runs month by month with one plan and one point of contact.

  1. Free discovery call

A free 30-minute call about your business, your goals and whether a partnership is the right fit.

  2. Strategy and roadmap

We get to know your goals, customers, challenges and opportunities, then give you a practical marketing roadmap.

  3. Monthly delivery

Your account manager runs the plan each month across the channels it needs, from social media and SEO to email and press releases.

  4. Meet and report

A monthly meeting by phone or visit, with a HubSpot dashboard that shows what the work is achieving.

What The Heck Is Content Marketing, Anyway?

Content marketing is primarily concerned with creating and distributing content that is closely related to what your company sells in order to achieve marketing goals. But what exactly is ‘content,’ you ask? Whatever is published (i.e. uploaded to the internet) is considered content, regardless of its format. All FAQs

For an advice practice, our Starter partnership plan is $4,500 + GST a month with 28 hours of work. Practices running regular seminars often need Standard at $5,500 + GST a month. Event venues and ad spend are extra. If a new website or one channel is all you need, we'll say so before we quote.

Yes, when it builds trust rather than chasing clicks. Advice is a high-trust decision, so the marketing that works shows who the adviser is, explains topics clearly and keeps you in touch with referrers. Expect slower, steadier results than a product campaign. We report first meetings booked by source and don't promise client numbers.

Because even referred clients look you up before they book. A clear website, adviser profiles, reviews (where your licensee allows them) and useful content confirm the referral. Search and social reach people who don't yet know anyone to ask. Digital marketing for financial planners also makes seminars easier to fill and follow up.

Only people registered on the Financial Advisers Register as relevant providers, because the Corporations Act restricts the titles financial adviser and financial planner. Staff such as paraplanners or client service officers need other titles. We match every name and title to the register, and your licensee confirms them.

Carefully, and only if your licensee allows them. ASIC's guidance expects testimonials to be genuine and not to give a misleading impression of typical results, and many licensees restrict them altogether. We'd rather build trust through adviser profiles, education and referrals, and use client stories only with written consent and approval.

Often, yes, for a clear audience and topic, such as transition to retirement or succession for farming families. Small events in person or online let people meet the adviser without pressure. They work when promotion targets one group and every attendee gets a follow-up. Generic seminars tend to fill seats, not diaries.

It stays general and balanced. Articles explain how something works and who it might suit, without recommending a product to the reader. Each piece carries the general advice warning and your licence details and makes no promise of returns. It goes through your licensee's approval before it's published, as ASIC's RG 234 expects.

Yes. As a digital marketing agency for financial advisers, we don't use lock-in contracts. If you move licensee or rebrand, we update profiles, disclaimers and materials and adjust the plan to suit. Your website content, accounts and lists stay yours throughout. If a smaller arrangement suits the change better, we'll tell you.
