Conversion tracking you can trust

Conversion tracking for Australian businesses: every form, call, booking and sale counted once, in Google Ads, GA4 and Meta.

Conversion tracking

Conversion tracking that counts real enquiries

Rock Solid Marketing sets up and fixes conversion tracking for Australian businesses, so every form, call, booking and sale is counted once, in Google Ads, Google Analytics 4 and Meta. Your ad report says 40 conversions this month, your inbox says 12 enquiries, and nobody can explain the gap.

Without accurate tracking, ad platforms optimise toward the wrong thing and your reports can’t be trusted. We find what is counted twice, what isn’t counted at all, and connect leads that become sales back to the ads that found them.

Tracking work is $175 + GST an hour, with the hours agreed before we start. If a quick check of one form will do the job, we’ll tell you before we quote.

What we set up

Google Ads conversion tracking and more

Each platform needs to know what counts as a result, so we set up the same actions everywhere and check they match.

GA4 key events

Forms, calls, bookings and purchases set up as key events in Google Analytics 4, which is what GA4 has called conversions since 2024.

Google Ads conversions

Conversion actions in Google Ads that match what your business values, with duplicates removed and the right actions used for bidding.

Google Tag Manager

One container that manages your tags, so changes don’t need a developer each time and every tag can be tested before it goes live.

Meta Pixel and Conversions API

Facebook ads conversion tracking through the Meta Pixel in the browser and the Conversions API from your server or platform, so fewer results go missing.

Leads that become sales

Offline conversion tracking imports sales from your CRM or spreadsheet back into Google Ads, so you can see which ads bring customers, not just enquiries.

Checked and documented

Every action is tested with a real form and call, and you get a plain-English list of what is tracked, where and why.

How it works

How a partnership runs

Every partnership starts with a strategy, then runs month by month with one plan and one point of contact.

  1. Free discovery call

A free 30-minute call about your business, your goals and whether a partnership is the right fit.

  2. Strategy and roadmap

We get to know your goals, customers, challenges and opportunities, then give you a practical marketing roadmap.

  3. Monthly delivery

Your account manager runs the plan each month across the channels it needs, from social media and SEO to email and press releases.

  4. Meet and report

A monthly meeting by phone or visit, with a HubSpot dashboard that shows what the work is achieving.

Conversion tracking setup

Conversion tracking setup, step by step

We start with what counts as a result for your business: a quote request, a booking, a call over a minute, a sale. Then we review what your website, Google Ads, GA4 and Meta currently record, and where the numbers disagree.

Next we fix or rebuild the set-up through Google Tag Manager, add enhanced conversion tracking where it helps match results to clicks, and test every action with real submissions. Finally we check your privacy policy names the tracking, as the Privacy Act 1988 and the APPs expect, and hand you a written summary.

  • Results that matter agreed first
  • Current tracking reviewed across platforms
  • Set-up fixed or rebuilt in Tag Manager
  • Every action tested with real submissions
  • Privacy policy check and written summary

Numbers you can make decisions with.

All FAQs

Our tracking work is $175 + GST an hour, with the hours agreed before we start. As an estimate, setting up or fixing tracking for forms and calls across Google Ads, GA4 and Meta takes about 3 to 6 hours, or $525 to $1,050 + GST. If you need Analytics, Search Console and Tag Manager set up first, that is $800 + GST.

Conversion tracking records when someone does something valuable after seeing your ad or visiting your site, such as sending a form, calling, booking or buying. It shows which ads and channels bring results, and it tells ad platforms what to optimise for. Without it, you can only count clicks.

In Google Ads, conversion tracking links an ad click to an action you value, such as a form or call. Google Ads records it through a tag on your site, an import from Google Analytics 4 or an upload of offline sales. Smart bidding then uses those conversions to decide which clicks are worth paying for.

When someone clicks your ad, Google records the click. If that person then completes an action on your site, the conversion tag or a linked GA4 key event reports it back to Google Ads. Google conversion tracking can also use enhanced conversions, which match hashed first-party details such as an email address.

Decide which actions count, then set them up through Google Tag Manager: GA4 key events, Google Ads conversion actions and the Meta Pixel. Test each one with a real form or call, check nothing fires twice, and update your privacy policy to name the tracking. Our conversion tracking setup follows those steps.

Open Goals in Google Ads and check each conversion action’s status and recent count. Compare those numbers with your real enquiries for the same period. If Google Ads shows far more, something is counting twice; if it shows fewer, something is missing. Tag Assistant can show which tags fire on each page.

Find the cause first: duplicate tags, a thank-you page that reloads, a GA4 import and a Google tag counting the same action, or a form that never reaches a thank-you step. Then remove duplicates, choose one source per action and test again. We document the fix so it doesn’t break with the next website change.

Offline conversion tracking imports results that happen outside your website, such as a phone enquiry that becomes a signed job, back into Google Ads. It uses the click ID saved with each lead. Lead conversion tracking like this shows which ads bring customers, not just enquiries.

Yes, so it must be handled properly. Under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, your privacy policy should say what tracking you use and what data it collects. We record actions, not personal details, and enhanced conversions only send hashed data. Health and other sensitive businesses need extra care.
