Google Business Profile optimisation for Australian businesses that want to show up on Google Maps: a complete, accurate profile and reviews answered.

Google Business Profile optimisation, done properly

Rock Solid Marketing sets up, optimises and manages Google Business Profiles for Australian businesses, from our office in Mildura. Your profile is the panel with your hours, photos, reviews and directions that shows in Google Search and on Maps. For many customers, it's the first thing they see of you.

You might have a profile someone set up years ago with the wrong hours. Or a competitor down the road shows up on Maps and you don't. Most of the fix is unglamorous: the right categories, complete details, real photos and a reply to every review.

A new profile set up properly is $500 + GST. Ongoing optimisation sits inside our SEO plans, and every job starts with a free 30-minute discovery call.

What we optimise

Google Business Profile management, field by field

Google's help pages say local results depend on relevance, distance and prominence. Each item below works on one of those.

Categories that match your work

Your primary category tells Google what kind of business you are. We choose it, and any secondary categories, from what you actually sell, not what sounds impressive.

Service areas without a shopfront

If you travel to customers, as most tradies do, Google's guidelines ask you to hide your home address and list the suburbs and towns you cover instead. We set that up correctly.

Hours people can trust

Regular hours, plus special hours for public holidays and seasonal changes. Few things lose a customer faster than driving to a closed door Google said was open.

Services and a plain description

Each service listed in your customers' words, and a description that says what you do and where. Your business name stays as it reads on your signage, with no added keywords.

Photos and updates

Real photos of your premises, team, vehicles and finished work, added regularly, plus updates for offers and events. Recent photos show customers you're open and busy.

Review replies, the honest way

We help you ask every customer for a review and reply to each one, good or bad. No fake reviews, no review gating and no paid incentives: the ACCC warns these can mislead consumers.

How it works

How your profile gets sorted

Check what Google shows now, fix what's wrong, then keep it current so it doesn't drift again.

  1. Discovery call

A free 30-minute call about your business, where your customers are and what Google shows for you today.

  2. Profile audit

We check ownership, verification, categories, hours, duplicates and reviews, and list what needs fixing first.

  3. Fix and complete

Every field is filled in accurately, photos go up and you get a review link to share with customers.

  4. Keep it current

On an SEO plan we add photos and updates, reply to reviews and check monthly for outside edits.

When it goes wrong

Profiles that are missing, doubled up or suspended

Sometimes the problem isn't optimisation. Two profiles for one business split your reviews. An old address keeps sending people to your previous premises. Or Google suspends the profile, often after a name change, an address it can't verify or keywords added to the business name.

If you're looking for a Google Business Profile reinstatement service in Australia, know this first: only Google can reinstate a profile. What we can do is find the likely cause, fix the profile so it meets Google's guidelines and help you lodge the request. We can't promise the outcome, and we'll say so if the cause can't be fixed.

  • Duplicate profiles merged or removed
  • Old addresses and numbers corrected
  • Business name matched to your signage
  • Reinstatement requests prepared with you

Only Google can reinstate a profile. We help you get it ready.

Setting up a new profile properly is $500 + GST. Ongoing optimisation (photos, updates, review replies and monthly checks) runs inside our SEO plans, from $1,000 + GST a month with no lock-in contracts. An existing profile that only needs a tidy-up is quoted at $175 + GST an hour. You approve any cost before work starts.

Go to google.com/business, sign in with a Google account your business controls, then add your business name, category and location. Use the name on your signage, not a version stuffed with keywords. Choose whether customers visit you or you travel to them. Then verify the profile, because an unverified one can't be fully managed.

Verify it first: depending on the business, Google may offer a phone call, text, email, video or postcard. Then complete every field: categories, hours, holiday hours, services, description, photos and your website link. Add staff as managers rather than sharing your login. A half-finished profile is the problem we see most often.

Make the profile complete and accurate, choose the right primary category and earn a steady flow of genuine reviews. Keep your name, address and phone number the same on your website and directories. Google says local ranking depends on relevance, distance and prominence. You can't change distance, but you can work on the other two.

Usually the profile isn't verified, has been suspended, has the wrong category, or the searcher is too far away. Search your exact business name first. If nothing appears, check the profile's status in your account. If you appear for your name but not your service, the gap is relevance or prominence, which optimisation works on.

Yes. Your Google Business Profile (once called Google My Business) is what appears in the map results, which often sit above the organic listings for local searches. It also brings calls, direction requests and website visits you can measure. It works best beside a website with a page for each service.

Work on prominence beyond the profile itself. Get listed accurately in Australian directories and your industry bodies, earn local links from sponsorships and suppliers, and keep reviews arriving steadily rather than in a burst. Add pages for the towns you serve on your website, but only where you really work.

People find you in three main ways: your profile on Maps, your website in the organic results, and ads. Most local customers meet the profile first. Check it shows the right phone number, hours and website, because many people call straight from it without ever opening your site.

Many owners can set up a profile themselves with Google's own guide, and that's worth doing if you have the time. An expert earns their fee when the profile is suspended, doubled up, outranked or never updated. If a one-off tidy-up will do the job, we'll tell you before we quote.
