SEO reporting in plain English

SEO reporting for Australian businesses that want to know what their SEO spend is doing: a monthly report in plain English and a call to explain it.

SEO reports

SEO reporting you can read without a glossary

Rock Solid Marketing gives every SEO client a monthly report and a review call, prepared by the team doing the work from our office in Mildura. The report shows where you rank, how many people found you on Google and how many of them got in touch.

You might be paying for SEO now and getting a stack of charts nobody explains. Or a report full of green arrows while the phone stays quiet. A useful report ties rankings and traffic back to enquiries, and says plainly what didn't work.

Reporting comes with every SEO plan, from $1,000 + GST a month with no lock-in. The first step is a free 30-minute discovery call.

What's in your report

What goes into our SEO reports

Each section answers a question you'd ask anyway: are more people finding us, are they getting in touch, and what are you doing about it?

Clicks and impressions

How often your pages appeared in Google and how often people clicked, straight from Search Console. It shows which searches are growing before a rankings tool picks it up.

Positions that matter

Rankings for the searches tied to your services, tracked in Semrush. Not hundreds of keywords: the ones that bring buyers, grouped by service so you can see each part of the business.

Enquiries, not just visits

Organic visits from GA4, plus the forms, calls and bookings set up as key events (what GA4 now calls conversions). Traffic that never enquires is something we flag, not celebrate.

What we did and what's next

A plain list of the work done this month and the plan for next month. You can match every line of your invoice to something that changed on your site.

What we leave out

Vanity numbers, such as total keywords ranked or a swing in a domain score, only appear when they explain something. If a chart doesn't change a decision, it doesn't go in.

A review call each month

Your account manager walks you through the report, answers questions and agrees priorities with you. You decide what we work on next, with the numbers in front of you.

How it works

How your monthly report comes together

Tracking first, so every report from the first month measures the same things the same way.

  1. Discovery call

A free 30-minute call about your goals, the enquiries that matter to you and any reports you get now.

  2. Tracking set-up

GA4, Search Console and key events are set up in your name, and we record a starting benchmark.

  3. Monthly report

Each month you get the numbers, what changed, what we did and what comes next, written in plain English.

  4. Review call

We talk it through on a call, answer your questions and agree next month's priorities with you.

Your data, your accounts

SEO analytics reporting on accounts you own

Your Google Analytics 4 and Search Console accounts are set up in your business's name, and we're added as users. If you ever leave, the history stays with you. Tracking for forms, calls and bookings goes in at the start, so your first report already shows enquiries.

Analytics tracking falls under the Privacy Act 1988, so your privacy policy should mention it. We'll point out what it needs to cover; the wording stays yours. If a one-off Google assets set-up ($800 + GST) will do the job, we'll tell you before we quote.

  • GA4 and Search Console in your name

  • Semrush position tracking by service

It's included in every SEO plan, from $1,000 + GST a month with no lock-in contracts. The plan covers the work itself, the monthly report and a review call, so the report isn't an extra line on your invoice. If you only need Google Analytics, Search Console and Tag Manager set up, that's a one-off $800 + GST.

An SEO report is a regular summary of how your website performs in organic search. It shows where you rank, how many people found you through Google, what they did next and what work was done. Good SEO reports are short, explain every number and finish with what happens next.

SEO reporting is measuring your search results on a set schedule and explaining them. It joins data from Search Console, GA4 and a rankings tool such as Semrush into one view. Monthly suits most businesses, because rankings move slowly and weekly swings mostly add noise. The point is a decision, not a chart.

Start with the bottom line: enquiries and sales from organic search. Then look at clicks and impressions, which show whether more people are seeing and choosing you. Rankings come third, because they explain the first two. If a report can't tell you what changed and why, ask for one that can.

A client SEO report should answer three questions: what happened, why, and what comes next. Pull clicks and impressions from Search Console, organic visits and key events from GA4, and positions from a rankings tool. Add a short list of work done. Good SEO client reporting fits on a few pages and gets explained on a call.

Pick a monthly date and use the same date range each time. Export Search Console's performance report, compare it with the previous month and the same month last year, and note pages that rose or fell. Seasonal businesses, such as tourism or horticulture, should always compare year on year, or harvest and holidays will look like SEO problems.

We set up GA4 and Search Console in your name, track enquiries as key events and report on them every month. Our SEO analytics reporting covers clicks, organic visits, enquiries and positions for the searches that matter to you. Your account manager walks you through it on the monthly review call and agrees the next priorities.

No. Automated reports from tools are good at collecting numbers, but they can't tell you why a page dropped or what to do about it. We use Semrush and Google's tools to gather the data, then a person writes what it means. You don't need another SEO reporting dashboard to log into: the report comes to you.
