Marketing for law firms, within the rules

Marketing for law firms that want to publish with confidence: research, plain-English content, LinkedIn and email, inside the conduct rules.

Partnership plans from $4,500 + GST a month

Legal practices

Marketing for law firms, starting with what you can say

Rock Solid Marketing runs marketing for law firms across Australia that want to publish more without stepping outside the conduct rules. Plenty of partners know the firm should be writing, posting and emailing. What stops them is uncertainty: what can the firm claim, who checks it, and who has the time?

We answer that before anything is written. A short research stage shows who your clients and referrers are, and a one-page wording guide sets what the firm will and won't say. Then we write plain-English guides, LinkedIn posts and newsletters that a lawyer at the firm signs off.

Partnership plans start from $4,500 + GST a month. The first step is a free 30-minute discovery call.

Common problems

What gets in the way, and how we fix it

  1. The partners aren't sure what they're allowed to say, so nothing gets published.

    What we do

We agree a one-page wording guide at the start: what the firm will claim, what it won't, and how lawyers are described. Drafts then pass the partners quickly.

  2. The firm's articles read like legislation and nobody finishes them.

    What we do

We write legal topics in plain English, at the level of a first conversation, and a lawyer checks every fact before it goes live.

  3. Referrers forget about you between matters.

    What we do

A quarterly email and regular LinkedIn posts from the partners keep accountants, financial planners and other referrers up to date with what the firm does.

  4. Marketing decisions rest on hunches about who your clients are.

    What we do

We start with research: your intake records, search data and, where the decision is big enough, focus groups run by behavioural scientist Dr. Damian Collins.

What we do for law firms

Digital marketing for law firms, written in plain English

Research, writing and distribution that build trust before a client ever calls, with a lawyer at your firm approving each piece.

Market research first

Your intake records, enquiry sources and search terms show which clients you win and where from. For bigger decisions, Dr. Damian Collins runs workshops or focus groups to test the message.

Plain-English legal guides

Content marketing for law firms works when it answers the client's real question: what happens to the house, how long probate takes, what a lease clause means. We write it, you check it.

LinkedIn for the partners

Short, practical posts drafted in each partner's voice about law changes and common client questions. The firm page shares the longer guides, so referrers see the firm's thinking every week.

Newsletters with consent

Separate client and referrer lists, built only from people who agreed to hear from you. Every email carries a plain-English update and an unsubscribe link, as the Spam Act 2003 requires.

Answers search engines quote

Clear question-and-answer pages that Google and its AI Overviews can quote, plus a Google Business Profile for each office. SEO plans on their own start from $1,000 + GST a month.

Reports partners will read

A HubSpot dashboard and a monthly meeting by phone or visit: which guides were read, which emails were opened and which enquiries came from them.

Who it’s for

Is it the right fit?

Who it’s for

  • Firms that win work through referrers as much as through search
  • Commercial, property and employment practices that want a LinkedIn voice
  • Firms that want to publish but worry about the conduct rules
  • Practices entering a new town or practice area that want research first

Not a fit

  • Firms after ads that predict results for clients
  • Practices that want content published without a lawyer checking it
  • A firm that needs one press release: our PR service prices that from $1,000 + GST

The rules

Legal marketing inside the conduct rules

Lawyers advertise under rules most businesses rarely think about. Rule 36 of the Australian Solicitors' Conduct Rules says a firm's advertising can't be false, misleading, deceptive or offensive. It also stops a lawyer being promoted as a specialist without law society accreditation.

Personal injury advertising has extra limits in New South Wales and Queensland. So every plan starts with a wording guide the partners approve, and every draft goes back to a lawyer at the firm before it's published. We know the rules well enough to write inside them. Your firm stays responsible for its own compliance.

  • No false, misleading or offensive claims
  • Specialist wording only with law society accreditation
  • Personal injury ads checked against state limits
  • No predicted outcomes or results
  • A lawyer at the firm approves the final wording

We write inside the rules. Your firm signs off.
