Fashion marketing for labels and boutiques

Fashion marketing for Australian labels and boutiques: every range launched on a plan and sold on real photos and fit, not just discounts.

Partnership plans from $4,500 + GST a month

Fashion brands

Fashion marketing that follows your seasons

Rock Solid Marketing plans and runs fashion marketing for clothing labels, boutiques and online fashion stores across Australia, from our office in Mildura. Your year runs on drops: autumn and winter, spring and summer, then the end-of-season sale that clears what's left.

Each range has a short window to sell before the next one lands, and shoppers buy from pictures and fit, not from specifications. So we plan your marketing range by range: what you'll shoot, who wears it, which creators get pieces and what goes in the launch email. The aim is fewer markdowns and fewer returns.

Our partnership plans start from $4,500 + GST a month, and every brand starts with a free 30-minute discovery call. If a strong Instagram account and a launch email will do the job for now, we'll tell you before we quote.

Common problems

What gets in the way, and how we fix it

  1. A new range goes live, sales spike for a weekend, then stop.

    What we do

We run each drop as a campaign: teasers before launch, a launch email and ads on the day, then styling content in the weeks after so the range keeps selling.

  2. Returns eat the profit because the fit wasn't what people expected.

    What we do

We add size guides, model measurements and fit notes to product pages, and use photos of real customers in different sizes.

  3. Gifted stock goes out to creators and nothing comes back.

    What we do

We shortlist creators whose followers match your buyers, agree what they'll post, and make sure every paid or gifted post is labelled as advertising.

  4. Every sale trains customers to wait for the next discount.

    What we do

We give full-price shoppers reasons to buy early (first access for subscribers, limited runs and styling help) and keep markdowns for the real end of season.

Fashion industry marketing strategies for each drop

Clothing sells on a calendar, so every channel lines up behind the range you're launching this month and the one arriving next.

A range calendar

Autumn and winter, spring and summer, capsule drops and the end-of-season sale, mapped across the year. Each launch gets its shoot list, email dates and ad budget before the stock arrives.

Content people stop for

Lookbooks, Reels and TikTok videos that show the clothes moving, styled for work and weekend, on real bodies. Our designers turn each shoot into posts, ads and email banners.

Creators who fit

We find creators whose followers look like your buyers, brief them in writing and track what each post sells. Influencer research and a shortlist costs $1,600 + GST, and paid posts are always disclosed.

Product pages that sell

Fashion ecommerce marketing lives on the product page: several photos, the model's size, fabric and care, and a size guide. We fix those first, then send shoppers there from ads.

Launch emails and texts

Subscribers get first look at each drop by email, and a short SMS on launch morning if they asked for one. Every list is built with consent and every message carries an opt-out.

Sell-through reports

Each month you see which pieces sold at full price, which went to markdown and which posts, emails or ads moved them, so you can order better for next season.

Who it’s for

Is it the right fit?

Who it’s for

  • Independent clothing labels selling online and through stockists
  • Boutiques with a shopfront and an online store
  • Activewear, workwear and streetwear brands
  • Designers launching a first or second collection

Not a fit

  • Students looking for courses or careers in the fashion industry
  • Brands that want fake reviews or undisclosed paid posts
  • A label with no stock or store yet: start with your brand and website first

How it starts

A fashion marketing specialist plans your next drop

We start with your recent seasons, not with a mood board. We look at which pieces sold at full price, which sizes ran out first, what came back as returns and which posts drove the orders.

Then we plan the next drop: the hero pieces to push, the shoot and the people in it, the creators, the launch email and the ad budget. You approve the plan and the creative before anything goes live. You keep the plan whether we run it or your own team does.

  • Pieces that sold at full price
  • Sizes that sold out and sizes that came back
  • Hero pieces for the next drop
  • Shoot list, creators and launch dates
  • An ad and email plan you approve

Plan the drop before the stock lands.

We approached Rock Solid Marketing to build our online store for our retail division and to look after our existing website. The professionalism of Sean and his team from day one was incredible, they took the time to sit down with us to discuss our exact requirements and they offered suggestions for the build which would improve the overall running of the store.

The finished result of our online store is nothing short of fantastic- it integrates with our point of sale software, it is very easy to navigate, and presents and operates as a professionally made web store should. Since completion and hand over, the back up support we receive from Rock Solid Marketing is remarkable- nothing is too much trouble and we can contact the team at any time with any questions we may have. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Sean, Janine and the team from Rock Solid Marketing for building or revamping a website, creating an online store to suit your business or with online marketing.

Partnership plans start from $4,500 + GST a month for 28 hours. Standard is $5,500 + GST for 35 hours, and Advanced is $7,500 + GST for 45 hours. Ad spend, creator fees and gifted stock sit on top. A label that only needs social content can start with social media management from $1,500 + GST a month, which covers 1 platform and 8 posts a month.

Fashion marketing is how a clothing brand gets its ranges seen, wanted and bought, season after season. It covers the brand's look, the photos and video of each range, social media, creators, email, the online store and any stockists. Clothes are bought on how they look and fit, so pictures and size details do much of the selling.

Market each range, not the brand in general. Choose the hero pieces, shoot them on real people, and give subscribers and followers first look before the public launch. Then use ads to reach new buyers who resemble your best customers, and creators for proof from outside the brand. After launch, styling content keeps the range selling until the next drop.

It plans the next drop while running the current one. In a typical month we brief and edit content, schedule posts, run ads, send launch and styling emails, manage creator posts and report on sell-through. Your account manager meets you monthly by phone or visit to agree what comes next, and you approve the creative before it goes out.

Label every paid or gifted post as advertising. The AANA Code of Ethics says advertising must be clearly distinguishable as such. Ad Standards applies that to influencer posts, so creators use clear labels such as #ad. We brief creators in writing, keep a record of what each one was given, and never ask for fake reviews.

Yes, for returns caused by fit and colour surprises. We add model measurements, the size each model wears, fabric details and true-colour photos, plus a size guide on every product. Change-of-mind returns still happen, so we track the return reasons your store records and rewrite the product pages behind the most common ones.

You don't need an agency on your street. Most fashion marketing companies work with brands by video call and shared folders, and so do we, with a team spread across Australia. Consultations at our Mildura office by booking. Photo and video shoots are priced to the job and happen where your stock and your models are.

No. Partnership plans have no lock-in contracts, so you can lift the hours for a big launch season and bring them back down afterwards. A dedicated account manager is your single contact, with designers, ad specialists and writers working behind them. Every month you get a report on what sold and what it cost.
