About the business
Mildura CCTV & Data is a security and data installer on Irymple Avenue in Irymple, just outside Mildura. The team installs CCTV cameras, security systems, structured cabling and wireless networks for homes and businesses across Mildura and the Sunraysia region.
The brief
The business needed a brand of its own and a website that explained four quite different services. A homeowner after a few cameras and a business owner after a new network ask different questions, and the site had to answer both. Customers also needed help after the install, when they set up the camera app on their own phone.
What we built
Rock Solid Marketing designed a new logo: an orange security camera inside a blue ring, next to a bold navy wordmark. We set the brand colours and fonts at the same time, so the website, the Facebook page and the customer guides all look like one business.
The website runs on WordPress. The home page leads with CCTV and security systems for homes and businesses, then sends visitors to a separate page for each service: CCTV installation, security systems, structured cabling and wireless networking. A Call now button sits in the header of every page. The contact page lists both phone numbers, the email addresses, the postal address and the business hours, with a short enquiry form.
Giving each service its own page is also where the SEO (search engine optimisation) work starts. Someone searching for structured cabling in Mildura lands on a page about cabling, not on a page about cameras.
We designed two customer guides as branded PDFs: a Hikvision camera system guide, and a Hik-Connect user guide for the app customers use to check their cameras from anywhere. Both sit on the website’s Resources page, ready to download after an install.
On social media, we brought the Facebook page into the new brand and wrote posts for it.
Where it stands
The brand and the website design are done. The site’s content is being finalised before it launches on the business’s own domain, so the screens on this page show the design as built.
