Franchise marketing for the brand and every location

Franchise marketing for Australian franchisors and franchisees: one brand nationally, and marketing that works in each local area.

Partnership plans from $4,500 + GST a month

Franchise marketing

Franchise marketing on two levels at once

Rock Solid Marketing provides franchise marketing for Australian franchisors and franchisees, working on two levels: the brand everyone shares and the local area each location serves. Head office runs a national campaign, while one franchisee prints their own flyers in the wrong colours and another hasn’t updated their Google listing in a year.

We help franchisors keep the brand consistent and show how the marketing fund is used, and we give franchisees ready-to-use local tools. Every claim stays honest, including what a franchisee can expect to earn.

Partnership plans start from $4,500 + GST a month, and Canva templates start from $800 + GST each. If a set of local marketing templates will do the job, we’ll tell you before we quote.

Common problems

What gets in the way, and how we fix it

  1. Every franchisee makes their own ads, and the brand looks different in every town.

    What we do

We build brand templates in Canva that franchisees can edit safely: their location and offer change, the brand doesn’t.

  2. Franchisees ask where their marketing fund contributions go.

    What we do

We report national campaign results in plain English, which helps you give franchisees the clear account the Franchising Code of Conduct expects.

  3. Half our locations have incomplete or duplicate Google listings.

    What we do

We set up and maintain a Google Business Profile for each location, with consistent names, hours and categories across the network.

  4. National ads don’t speak to local customers.

    What we do

We give each franchisee a local area marketing kit: templates, a local events calendar and guidance on community sponsorships.

Who it’s for

Is it the right fit?

Who it’s for

  • Franchisors growing a network across Australia
  • Franchisees wanting local marketing that fits the brand
  • Emerging brands wanting a franchise marketing expert to set up the fund
  • Multi-site owners running several franchise locations

Not a fit

  • Franchisees whose agreement bars them from local marketing
  • Anyone wanting earnings or income claims in recruitment ads

Franchise marketing in Australia

Franchise marketing in Australia, within the Code

Under the Franchising Code of Conduct, marketing fund money must be kept in a separate account, and franchisees must receive an annual statement of how it was spent. Clear reporting on national campaigns makes that statement easier to prepare and easier for franchisees to trust.

The ACCC also warns franchisors against misleading claims, including about what a franchisee can earn. We keep recruitment and customer advertising honest, and your franchise lawyer and accountant stay responsible for compliance.

  • Clear reporting on fund-paid campaigns
  • No earnings claims in recruitment ads
  • Brand standards built into templates
  • Consistent listings across every location

One brand, many locations, no surprises.

Our franchise marketing runs through partnership plans from $4,500 + GST a month for 28 hours, with Standard at $5,500 + GST and Advanced at $7,500 + GST a month. Canva templates start from $800 + GST each, and Google Business Profile set-up is $500 + GST per location. Larger networks may suit a Bespoke plan.

Franchise marketing is the marketing of a franchise network on two levels: the national brand, usually paid from a shared marketing fund, and each franchisee’s local area. It also covers recruiting new franchisees. The challenge is keeping the brand consistent while letting each location speak to its own customers.

In marketing, franchising is a way to grow a brand: the franchisor licenses its name, systems and marketing to independent owners, who run locations under the same brand. Customers see one business, so every location’s advertising, signage and online listings need to look and sound the same.

Usually both, as the franchise agreement sets out. Franchisees typically pay into a marketing fund for brand-wide campaigns, and may also be required to spend on local marketing for their own area. The Franchising Code of Conduct requires the fund to be accounted for each year. Check your own agreement for the details.

Start with the jobs: keeping listings consistent, letting franchisees edit brand templates, scheduling social posts and reporting by location. Choose tools that handle those without breaking your brand rules. We don’t sell software; we set up and use the tools that suit your network, such as Canva brand templates.

Local area marketing is what a franchisee does in their own town: Google listing updates, local social posts, community sponsorships, school and club events and the local paper. Done within brand rules, it connects the national brand to a local face. Our kits make it simple for busy franchisees.

Yes. As a franchise marketing specialist working with both levels, we can support individual franchisees with local marketing, as long as it fits the brand guidelines and the franchise agreement. Where head office has a preferred approach, we work within it.

We don’t name franchise clients on this page. Our franchise marketing services apply the local, multi-channel work we do for regional businesses and organisations. Our partnership plans have no lock-in contracts, and the accounts, templates and content stay with your business.
