Cosmetic clinic marketing that stays inside the rules

Cosmetic clinic marketing for Australian aesthetic and laser clinics: fill consultations with clear education and credentials, not risky ads.

Partnership plans from $4,500 + GST a month

Aesthetic and laser clinics

Cosmetic clinic marketing built for a regulated industry

Rock Solid Marketing plans and runs marketing for cosmetic, aesthetic and laser clinics across Australia, from our office in Mildura. Few industries have tighter advertising rules. Injectables are prescription-only medicines that can't be advertised to the public, and AHPRA's guidelines for cosmetic procedures limit images, testimonials and influencer posts.

That doesn't mean you can't market. It means the marketing has to sell the consultation, the practitioner and the clinic, with clear education on what treatments involve. Done well, it builds trust with clients who are wary of hype.

Partnership plans start from $4,500 + GST a month. The first step is a free 30-minute discovery call.

Common problems

What gets in the way, and how we fix it

  1. Our ads keep getting rejected or flagged.

    What we do

We plan campaigns around what Meta, Google and the TGA allow, promoting consultations and non-prescription treatments instead of medicines.

  2. We're not sure what we can post on Instagram.

    What we do

We build a content plan that stays within AHPRA's cosmetic guidelines and your own policies, and your practitioners approve every post.

  3. Clients compare us on price alone.

    What we do

We show your practitioners' qualifications, your consultation process and your aftercare, so clients see more than a price list.

A website that educates

Treatment pages that explain what's involved, risks, recovery and suitability in plain words, with consultation booking on every page.

Practitioner credentials up front

Profiles showing each practitioner's registration, qualifications and role, so clients know who will treat them.

Social media within the guidelines

Clinic life, education and practitioner content that meets AHPRA's cosmetic guidelines, approved by your team before it goes live.

Marketing for laser clinics

Laser hair removal and skin treatments that aren't prescription medicines can be promoted more freely, with accurate claims and clear pricing.

Consultations you can trace

A HubSpot dashboard shows which channels bring consultation bookings, so your budget follows real enquiries.

Who it’s for

Is it the right fit?

Who it’s for

  • Aesthetic and cosmetic medicine clinics
  • Laser and skin clinics
  • Clinics adding cosmetic services to a medical practice

Not a fit

  • Clinics wanting to advertise injectables to the public
  • Anyone wanting before-and-after photos without the rules met
  • Influencer campaigns that break AHPRA guidelines

The rules

Advertising a cosmetic clinic: what the rules allow

Prescription-only medicines, including the injectables used in many clinics, can't be advertised to the public under the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code. The TGA treats indirect references as advertising too. AHPRA's guidelines for cosmetic procedures, in force since 2023, restrict testimonials, influencer content and images that create unrealistic expectations.

Meta and Google add their own policies, including age limits. We plan within all three, keep claims factual, and your practitioners approve everything. You stay responsible for compliance, and we flag anything that needs a second look.

  • No public advertising of prescription medicines
  • AHPRA cosmetic guidelines applied
  • Platform age and content rules followed
  • Practitioner approval on every piece
  • Claims kept factual and checkable

Trust first, bookings follow.

Some of our work

We approached Rock Solid Marketing to build our online store for our retail division and to look after our existing website. The professionalism of Sean and his team from day one was incredible, they took the time to sit down with us to discuss our exact requirements and they offered suggestions for the build which would improve the overall running of the store.

The finished result of our online store is nothing short of fantastic- it integrates with our point of sale software, it is very easy to navigate, and presents and operates as a professionally made web store should. Since completion and hand over, the back up support we receive from Rock Solid Marketing is remarkable- nothing is too much trouble and we can contact the team at any time with any questions we may have. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Sean, Janine and the team from Rock Solid Marketing for building or revamping a website, creating an online store to suit your business or with online marketing.

The Nitty Gritty on Facebook Ads

In an ideal world, your Facebook page would collect likes organically – that is, by people enjoying your content enough to proactively ‘like’ your page. Maybe they come across your Facebook page via your website, or perhaps they saw a friend like or share something of yours on Facebook. Regardless, they found you naturally, liked

Our partnership plans start from $4,500 + GST a month for 28 hours of strategy, content, social media, search and reporting. Standard is $5,500 + GST a month and Advanced is $7,500 + GST a month. Ad spend is paid to the platforms on top. If your clinic only needs a compliant website, we'll tell you before we quote.

Market the consultation, the practitioners and the clinic rather than individual medicines. Explain treatments clearly on your website, show your team's qualifications, keep your Google Business Profile current and post education within AHPRA's guidelines. Then follow up enquiries quickly, because clients often book with whoever answers first.

Focus on education, your team and the clinic experience. Avoid naming prescription medicines, check every image against AHPRA's cosmetic guidelines, and don't use influencers or testimonials in ways the guidelines prohibit. Your practitioners should approve each post before it goes live. Consistent, calm content builds more trust than trend-chasing.

No, not to the public. Botulinum toxin and other prescription-only medicines can't be advertised to consumers, and the TGA treats indirect names as advertising too. You can promote consultations with your practitioners, where suitable treatments are discussed privately. The same applies on your website, social media and Google Ads.

Only within AHPRA's guidelines for cosmetic procedures, which set strict conditions on how images are taken, labelled and presented, and ban those that create unrealistic expectations. Many clinics choose education and practitioner content instead. We check each image with your team before it's used, and leave out anything doubtful.

Often, yes. Laser hair removal and many skin treatments aren't prescription medicines, so they can be promoted directly, with accurate claims and clear pricing. Consumer law still applies, and AHPRA's guidelines apply if a registered practitioner performs a cosmetic procedure. Digital marketing for laser clinics can use search ads and pricing offers more freely.

No, not yet. We've worked with health providers and consumer businesses, and marketing a cosmetic clinic would get the same care for the rules. We'll be upfront about that on the discovery call, and rely on your practitioners for clinical detail. If that matters to you, we understand.

Look for an aesthetic marketing agency that explains the TGA and AHPRA rules before it pitches ideas, and that asks for practitioner approval on everything. Be wary of agencies promising viral influencer campaigns. Advertising a cosmetic clinic safely is slower, but it protects your registration.
